Club announcement
Como 1907 have officially announced the signing of England international Dele Alli on an 18-month contract, with an option to extend for a further 12 months. The club recognizes his exceptional talent and is excited to include him in the team.
The focus will be on providing Dele with a supportive environment in which he can gradually integrate into the squad. Although there will be no immediate performance expectations, the club is confident that he will make a significant contribution both on the pitch and as a mentor to the club's young talents, including Nico Paz, Alieu Fadera, Assane Diao, Maxence Caqueret, Máxi Perrone and Lucas Da Cunha.
Head Coach Cesc Fàbregas shared his thoughts on the signing: “The club believes in Dele's potential and wants to help him rediscover his best form. His experience and leadership qualities will undoubtedly benefit the team.”
With Dele's wealth of experience, Como 1907 expects his presence to inspire the team and take it to new heights. The club looks forward to the positive impact he will have both on and off the field.
The 28-year-old has been training with the club since his Everton contract expired last summer and has now put in place terms for a transfer that will see him return to top-flight football.
Dele has not played professionally since joining Besiktas on loan in February 2023, but will now be given the chance to shine in Serie A.
Como is currently among the bottom three in the Italian top flight in terms of goal difference and will face Udinese on Monday.
“The club believes in Dele's potential and wants to help him rediscover his best form,” said head coach Cesc Fabregas.
“His experience and leadership qualities will undoubtedly benefit the team.”
