According to a report from Foot Mercato and information from RMC Sport, Olympique de Marseille are interested in securing Santiago Giménez (23) from Feyenoord as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Marseille is looking for a new striker. Elye Wahi (22) is set to leave before the summer, just six months after joining from RC Lens on a €30 million contract (including bonuses). This search has linked the club with loans for Manchester United's Marcus Rashford or Mathys Tel.
As an alternative to these two targets, Marseille have also looked at Giménez. The striker has been very successful in the Netherlands since joining from Cruz Azul in 2022 and has scored thirteen goals in seventeen games this season.
However, a deal for him could prove complicated, especially in the current period. Foot Mercato writes that the striker is valued at over €40 million and it remains to be seen whether the French side have the resources to convince Feyenoord to sell mid-season.
