Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante scored either side of the break as Frank Lampard's Coventry triumphed 2-0 at Blackburn to complete back-to-back Championship victories.
Simms headed the visitors ahead four minutes before half-time after Sky Blues goalkeeper Oliver Dovin made good saves to deny Makhtar Gueye and Danny Batth.
Thomas-Asante then added a 48th-minute finish, and Coventry almost had a third when Jack Rudoni hit a post as they recorded a second win in four days, following Saturday's 1-0 win over Bristol City, and advanced to 13th place in the competition. table.
