WREXHAM star James McClean was involved in a car accident on his way to training this morning.
The 35-year-old will undergo further medical checks after reporting to Wrexham headquarters.
Wrexham will host Birmingham in a top-flight League One match tomorrow evening.
Ahead of the match, the League One club confirmed in a statement on their website that a car accident had occurred involving one of their players.
It read: “Wrexham AFC can confirm that a first-team player was involved in a car accident on the way to training this morning.
“This was a one-off car accident involving no other vehicles and the relevant local authorities responded quickly to the scene.
“The player reported to the club this morning and will undergo further medical checks.”
This morning's incident is said to have taken place at Wrexham Golf Club.
The area was subject to very foggy conditions.
McClean is a Republic of Ireland international with 103 caps and has played in the Premier League for Sunderland and West Brom.

Just yesterday, Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson called on the EFL to do more to combat the abuse McClean is regularly subjected to by opposition fans.
He said: 'Sometimes the level of abuse goes too far and I'm not sure enough is being done about it.
“People are very quick to jump on the backs of players when they step out of line and referees are quick to give people yellow cards.
“Then I think, what is the EFL doing about the level of abuse Jimmy gets every week, and for me it's not nearly enough.
“But unfortunately, I don't think my words will be enough to change that.”
McClean captains Wrexham and has played 24 of the 26 League One games so far this season.
Parkinson's men take on Birmingham tomorrow evening in third place in the table, five points behind leaders Blues, who have two games in hand.
The game is expected to be attended by several high-profile guests, including Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney and Tom Brady.
