Arsenal are running out of time to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.
The deadline is just over a week and a half away and the Gunners have yet to make a move. However, there is plenty of talk that Mikel Arteta and co will be in action in the coming days, with a new striker at the top of the Spaniard's wish list.
Bejamin Sesko, who the club wanted to make a bid for last summer, and Wolves' Matheus Cunha have both been linked in recent days, with the latter yet to sign a new contract with his current club.
Here, Mirror Football collects all the latest transfer news and gossip from and around the Emirates…
Record Cunha bid incoming
Arsenal may be interested in Matheus Cunha but they could miss out on the Brazilian as Nottingham Forest prepare a club record offer for the forward.
Cunha, 25, is a target for a handful of Wolves rivals in the Premier League and Arsenal's interest is well documented given their desire to strengthen their attacking options.
But Forest are also hoping to sign Cunha this month, with the Wolves star no closer to signing a new contract. And Sky Sports claim Forest are set to make a bid with a club record bid for Cunha, who has 10 goals to his name so far this season.
Arsenal are prepared to spend large amounts of money
Arsenal IS ready to make a big signing in January, but only if they can land a top target like Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners are showing firepower and Mikel Arteta and co have been urged by fans and pundits to sign a new striker this month with both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus sidelined.
Our man John Cross has the latest news: he says Arsenal are willing to spend big this month if someone like Sesko becomes available. However, it remains to be seen whether RB Leipzig will be willing to part ways with their prize attacker mid-season.
However, a big offer could tempt them to do business, and the indications are that Arsenal are ready to come out.
Chelsea eye ex-Gunners target
Chelsea have set their sights on Dusan Vlahovic, whose club, Juventus, want to sign Blues defender Renato Veiga.
Vlahovic was closely linked with Arsenal three years ago before putting pen to paper with the Italian giants. And the £66million striker, believed to be one of Juventus' top earners, has attracted renewed interest from the Premier League.
Juventus' interest in Veiga, who joined Chelsea for £12 million this summer, could boost Vlahovic's chances of moving to Stamford Bridge. But The Times notes that Chelsea are demanding £29million for Veiga, which could complicate matters.
