Aston Villa 2-4 Man City: Miedema’s double gets visitors back to winning ways

Vivianne Miedema's first-half double saw Manchester City come from behind to win 4-2 at Aston Villa to move to within six points of Chelsea at the top of the Women's Super League.

Miedema's first was a simple, composed finish after Danielle Turner's stray pass went straight to town, while her second was a thing of beauty just seven minutes later as she curled a shot into the top corner from 20 yards.

VILLA – Playing for the last time under interim boss Shaun Goater, the former assistant of Taylor and City Team -Mate, before new boss Natalia Arroyo takes charge – then leveled again with Laia Aleixandri's own goal in the opening minute of the second half.

Mary Fowler then scored an excellent goal in the 54th minute and Jess Park added a fourth after the hour for City, who moved back into the Champions League places, from fourth to second to second, six points behind leaders Chelsea for those who are organized third- Placed Arsenal on Sunday.
