Kylian Mbappe: Confident Real Madrid need to push hard for La Liga title

Kylian Mbappe has called Real Madrid not to delay in the La Liga title race.

After 21 games played, Los Blancos now has a four -point lead above second place Atletico Madrid, after a backlog at the beginning of 2025.

Topplek has already changed a few times in the opening weeks of January, but the defensive champions now have the momentum.

Mbappe recorded his first hat trick in the Spanish football this weekend when Carlo Ancelotti's side drove a 3-0 win at Real Valladolid.

It moves Mbappe to 15 league goals in its debut campaign in Madrid only one behind Robert Lewandowski in the TopScorer race this season.

Real Madrid's focus will now switch to the UEFA Champions League in the midweek, but Mbappe insisted that there is still work to be done.

“Winning like these give us confidence, but you know better than I don't go anything to MatchDay 38. We are very confident, but we have to continue like this”, according to Marca.

“I said on my first day that I can play in all three attacking positions, I had to adapt to the team and now everything is clear. I can play on the right, in the middle, left. '

Europe is now central to Mbappe and Ancelotti, because after seven games in the new competition phase structure of the Champions League, the title defender are tipped to miss an automatic last 16 place, despite a return to form in a 5- 1 win on RB Salzburg.

They have to win on Stade Brest on January 29 and see that a large number of other results are going to their advantage, to have a chance to reach the last 16 automatically.

The most likely result for Ancelotti and his team is a play -off test in an unknown environment for the holders at the beginning of February.
