Liverpool have had an excellent season under Arne Slot so far, with the Reds still in the hunt for four trophies.
Liverpool are six points clear at the top of the Premier League, top of the revamped Champions League competition stage and still in both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. So far in the January transfer window they have made no moves to strengthen their squad and appear to be focusing instead on laying the foundations for summer deals.
Several attackers are on Liverpool's radar, with Mohamed Salah's future at the club uncertain due to his contract situation, while a club legend could be set for a return to management. With all that in mind, here's the latest from Anfield.
£10 million deal still to be completed
Liverpool want to sign Anis Hadj-Moussa from Feyenoord, according to Africa Foot, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Hadj-Moussa has impressed since joining Feyenoord from Belgian club Patro Eisden and the report states that Liverpool are planning to complete a €12 million deal for the winger in the summer.
Liverpool's head of recruitment Barry is said to be in close contact with the player's agent, Mohamed Dahmane, although the fee could increase if he continues to play for Feyenoord for the rest of the season.
Red-eyed Gittens
Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens, according to Christian Falk.
It is claimed that Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are all monitoring the situation, with Gittens expected to leave Dortmund if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
The report states that Dortmund would want €100 million for the young winger and would prefer to sell him to a Premier League club rather than domestic rivals Bayern.
Liverpool legend wants Bolton job
Mirror Football understands that former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has applied for the Bolton job after the League One club sacked Ian Evatt.
Fowler has managed clubs in Thailand, Australia, India and Saudi Arabia since retiring and the 49-year-old is keen to take charge at Bolton. He last managed Al Qadsiah in the second tier of Saudi Arabian football but was sacked in October 2023 despite an unbeaten start to the season.
Fowler explained his managerial ambitions in his Mirror Football column in July that year, writing: 'I took a job in the league below the Saudi Pro League because I am ambitious to become a manager, because I want to prove myself. I didn't get that opportunity in Britain. “You look at my record, and I've done well wherever I've been, despite inheriting teams that were struggling before I arrived.”
