The hope of Manchester United to land Patrick Dorgu has received a boost, with Lecce who has closed a successor to the Danish International.
Dorgu has played this term right back and left back in the Serie A, although the United head coach Ruben Amorim is supposed to have a left-sided role in the back of the head. United is a shortage of Lecce's asking price so far, but a renewed bid cannot be excluded.
In the meantime, the Italian side has made progress in their search for a new full-back. They have made an offer for heart defender Daniel Oyegoke, and now Danilo Veiga seems to be close to a movement.
At the time of writing, reports in Italy indicate that Veiga is close to a movement of Estrela da Amadora worth a maximum of £ 1.3 million. In the meantime, Oyegoke was left outside the team of the heart for their weekend win against Kilmarnock in the midst of interest from Italy.
Arsenal Academy Product Oyegoke is usually used on right back and center-back in Scotland, but can also play links. Portugal Under-21 International Veiga is the right side used for its club side, which is locked up in a relegation struggle in the Primeira League.
Lecce is after more than £ 33 million for Dorgu, who came to Nordsjaelland's Academy in 2022. He missed only one league match this season and started on Sunday against Inter Milan.
In anticipation of certainty on Dorgu, United Tyrell Malacia welcomed after a long enchantment on the sidelines. The Dutch international played in the FA Cup victory over the victory of Arsenal and Europa League in Rangers, which indicates that he was happy to be back after missing the entire season.
There has been a lot of noise that United has to sell before they can buy, and progress has been made in that direction. The young striker Ethan Wheatley has joined Walsall on loan, while the Antony's loan to Real Betis is expected to free up a wage budget.
Marcus Rashford could also agree with Barcelona left. Speaking after the midweek match against Rangers, head coach Amorim was reluctant to give a definitive judgment about the attacker – either on those transfer lefts, or about whether he can be completely reinforced if he would stay.
“I don't know. I really don't know (if he stays),” Amorim told reporters. “Guys, it's eight days, eight days until the end and then we will see at the end of the window and then we will talk about it at the moment.”
