Barca receive boost in bid to make Spotify Camp Nou return as soon as possible
It's been seventeen months since Barcelona started renovation work on Spotify Camp Nou, and while they had hoped to be back in the iconic stadium at the end of this year, that won't be possible. For now, the working target is for the Catalan giants to return home in mid-February, and the chances of that have increased.
According to Relevo, Barcelona has been given permission to resume construction work on Saturday between 10am and 8pm. The decision was taken by the city council and neighborhood associations after an hours-long meeting on Friday evening.
The idea is that this will speed up the process of Barcelona returning to the Spotify Camp Nou, which all parties believe will happen before the end of the season. For now. Hansi Flick's side will continue to play at the Estadi Olimpic in Montjuic, although it was recently reported that they will be evicted from there in early May.
