Fenerbahce Vice-President Acun Ilicali insists that the Turkish club “is not interested” in signing Manchester United, send Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window.
This month, the International of England was associated with a relocation of Old Trafford after being out of favor with the new United manager Ruben Amorim, who interviewed the professionalism of the player on various occasions.
Rashford has not been playing for the Premier League club since 12 December and Amorim recently said that he would rather play the 63-year-old goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital than “a player who does not give the maximum every day”.
And Fenerbahce, currently managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho, have eradicated from the race for the signature of the 27-year-old.
“It was actually in the news that we are interested in him. I think Rashford is a fantastic player, I really like him,” Ilicali told Sky Sports.
'But at the end of the day, when you have some players in your team [who play in the same role]It is not logical to get two players in the same position that are much better than other players. “

Under Mourinho, Rashford played 125 games and took 18 goals for United between August 2016 and December 2018.
He has four goals and an assist of 15 league games this season, with his last performance as a replacement in a 3-2 defeat against Nottingham Forest last month.
“What I will say is that these kinds of players have to play, play, play,” said Ilicali, who is also the chairman of Hull City to the championship.
“If he comes, one of our players could not play. When it came for us, we unfortunately said no for this transfer.
“There is nothing that we are interested in him. Of course there are some rumors that spread. I can very comfortably say that we are not interested, but he is a good player.”
Rashford has been in United since he was seven and has won the Europa League, two FA Cups and two EFL cups with the club.
The January transfer window has been set to close on 3 February.
