Xabi Alonso involves Carlo Ancelotti in Real Madrid managerial demand

In the last 12-18 months there has been a lot of speculation with regard to the position of the Real Madrid manager in the Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti performed wonders during his second enchantment, but that did not stop regular speculation on his possible departure – and also that of his expected replacement Xabi Alonso.

It is obvious that Alonso will be the next manager of Real Madrid, with the only question when he returns to the Spanish capital. He is happy at Bayer Leverkusen, although there is a desire to take the reins in the club that he spent five years as a player.

Real Madrid wants him too, and the speculation is that they want him to replace Ancelotti from the summer. Leverkusen are willing not to stand in the way of Alonso, although the Spaniard itself can make things difficult.

According to Sport, Alonso has done a non-negotiable demand for Real Madrid, and it is that they fire Ancelotti to bring him in. His wish is to take it only to the Bernabeu as soon as the position of the head coach is empty-what means that he only wants the job if his predecessor goes aside.

Alonso does not want to be the reason that Ancelotti is forced to leave Real Madrid on schedule. As such, this could throw a key in the works, because the Italian is open to see the rest of his contract, which does not end until 2026 – and the deal of Alonso in Leverkusen also runs at the same time.

It has also been reported that Alonso will also not wait until the last days of the season to clarify his future, so that Leverkusen know whether or not they should replace it. He took a similar step last season when he rejected approaches from Liverpool and Bayer Munich to stay with the Bundesliga champions.
