Real Madrid, faithful to form, will not make movements in the transfer market of January. Despite the suffering of something of an injury crisis in their backline, so Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao have excluded the rest of the season, and David Alaba only recently returns from his own fitness issues, Los Blancos will not strengthen.
There are still six days left for Real Madrid to close a deal in the January window, but they have informed manager Carlo Ancelotti that they will not make further movements before the deadline. Marca says he will be forced to do with the resources currently at his disposal.
Real Madrid had tried this month to agree a deal with Liverpool for right-wing Trent Alexander-Arnold, but it seems that they gave up that idea after the scouse side has completely rejected all bids. They initially hoped to close a deal for around € 15 million, with a few reports that said they were willing to go as high as € 25 million. Los Blancos in principle has an agreement for Alexander-Arnold to participate in the end of his contract at the end of his contract in the summer, but Liverpool is ready to retain him until the last.
That is the area that is most influenced by the decision. Lucas Vazquez is the only natural option for Ancelotti turn right, but is exposed on different occasions. In larger competitions, it is expected that Ancelotti will turn to Fede Valverde or Raul Asencio to fill in the position. Young people Jesus Fortea and Loren Aguado are other alternatives that seem less likely.
With Alaba back from an injury, Ancelotti will select one of the Austrian, Asencio or Aurelien Tchouameni to partner Antonio Rudiger in the center of defense. In Londy, it has been reported that some within Real Madrid do not believe that they can win the Champions League with Vazquez right back, and Ancelotti has called for reinforcements this winter. It seems that those supplications will fall on deaf ears.
