Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran reportedly agreed the conditions to join Cristiano Ronaldo with Saudi-Arabic Outfit Al-Nassr, after the ex-Manchester United-star had urged the club to splash the money.
Duran was subject to enormous transfer speculation in January after West Ham had rejected an £ 57 million bid for the striker, but it seems that Al-Nassr has won the race for his signature.
According to the French Outlet L'Equipe, Duran has already agreed personal conditions with Al-Nassr and is now waiting for the club to agree on a transfer costs with Villa.
It is suggested that Villa is ready to accept an offer around £ 59 million from Al-Nassr for the Colombian striker, who is impressed by 12 goals of 29 performances this term, which was a second choice that Ollie Watkins is.
The 21-year-old has generated interest of a number of teams after his exciting displays from Off the Bench, including three in the Champions League, but Al-Nassr seems to be the favorites after “pushing for several days”.
If Duran joined Al-Nassr, he would become a member of a stars-littered team that includes Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic and Aymeric Laporte.
His transfer would probably rake Ronaldo, who agreed to rake his deal in the middle in the middle – in a reported £ 168 million a year – provided that the club makes significant investments in the team to ensure that they remain competitive.
Despite the fact that he collected 75 goals in 84 performances for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo only claimed the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 and twice finished second in the interior.
This week Aston Villa -Baas Unai Emery was asked whether Duran transfer speculation had hit in any way before their match against West Ham. He replied: “It is not only with Jhon Duran, but also other players.
“I concentrate a lot on how we think and plan every match and every player focuses on it. There may be some rumors to leave here or come here from other teams. Each team is in the same situation.
“We don't know exactly until the last day of the transfer star how many players we can change in this team – but on Sunday we are here with the players we have and 100% focused on the game.”
