MMA and the UFC have no mercy and the sport is not waiting for a man.
That is the case with 'El Cucuy' Tony Ferguson, once one of the best hunters in the lightweight division, with one of the longest profit stripes in division history. Ferguson concluded an incredible nine-year-old run with a 12-party winning series, which claims and defends his interim-light weight twice.
This would crash if Ferguson went through a loss of a loss of all time, and now it seems that it is no longer on the UFC schedule.
However, fans do not yet have to anticipate a Ferguson pension, because Ferguson seems to have been signed with a new promotion, with an experienced Rematch in his sights.

Ferguson vs. Nurmagomedov is one of the largest WAT-IFs in MMA history. The two lightweight great ones were planned to fight a total of five times, already in 2015.
Nurmagomedov withdrew with a ribblessel in their first booking in 2015 before Ferguson was injured a few months later for their second planned fight. Weight cut complications forced Nurmagomedov from their third meeting in 2017.
They would head UFC 223 in 2018 for the undisputed title, but Ferguson stumbled over a cable at a pre-fighting event and tore a knee ligament. Nurmagomedov fought and defeated Al Iiaquinta to win the title as a replacement.
As the ultimate nail in the coffin of their rivalry, their fifth episode was canceled because of coronavirus in 2020. Instead of waiting to reform the fight, Ferguson quickly made two weight loss and fought Gaethje; The rest is history.
