Alvaro Morata to leave AC Milan six months after arrival from Atletico Madrid

Last summer Alvaro left Morata Atletico Madrid after leading Spain to Euro 2024 success. He joined AC Milan, although he now deviates from the Serie A Giants after only half a season.

Morata has difficulty having a significant impact since he arrived at the Rossoneri, and scored six times in 26 performances. Sergio Conukicao, the new head coach of Milan, does not count on the Spaniard, and therefore a departure will almost certainly take place before the winter transfer window closes next week.

It appears that Morata is going to Türkiye. As reported by Marca, Milan is in advanced conversations with Galatasaray about a deal, although it still has to be determined at this stage whether it will be a loan or permanent departure.

Milan paid € 13 million last summer to sign Morata from Atleti, but this has proved to be a bad investment. If it is a sale that is negotiated with Galatasaray, they will hope to earn back as much as possible from this money.

Upon arrival in Istanbul, Morata will join Victor Osimhen, who is on loan from Napoli in Galatasaray. The couple are expected to be a strike partner, because the Turkish giants consider the Spain captain as a reference in their team.

Morata's approaching move to Galatasaray is good news for Spain, and in particular head coach Luis de la Fuente. He will want his skipper to play football regularly in the structure of the next World Cup in 2026, and that is more likely that it is away from Milan.

A deal is expected to be completed in the coming days, before the winter transfer window will be closed next Monday. Morata is preparing for this new adventure and he will hope that he can settle in Galatasaray, while he is also important.
