Tottenham suffer ANOTHER injury blow as regular starter comes off in Europa League clash with Elfsborg

The injury crisis of Tottenham was deepened on Thursday evening when one of their normal starters came loose.

Radu Dragusin was forced in the second half of their 3-0 Europa League Clash victory on Elfsborg.

The defender looked in fear of death as he held his knee and collapsed at the grass before he was removed.

Ange Postecoglou is expected to take the injury after the game, but it can add another body to an already stacked treatment table.

James Maddison could be put aside for a maximum of three weeks with a CALF issue in the victory of Tottenham in Hoffenheim last week.

The remarkable list of absent from the club also includes Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, Destiny Udogie and keeper Guglielmo Vicario.

In addition to the injury, it was a joyful night for Spurs when they saw a hat trick of goals from three graduates from the academy.

Dane Scarlett, Oyindamola Ajayi and Mikey Moore all scored their first goals for the club in the last 20 minutes against the Swedish outfit.

Micky van de Ven also returned from an injury and played for the first time since the 4-3 defeat of Spurs through Chelsea on December 8.

The result means that Tottenham has automatically qualified the last 16 of the Europa League and avoids the play-offs with double leg.

It is a relief for Postecoglou, who felt the pressure after winning one of his last eight Premier League matches.

And there is still a lot of work to do in your own country, spurs was 15th and the relegation is in danger of being dragged.

But a free -scoring second half lifted the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – especially when three young guns took their first goals for the club – and HTEY will try to use that new confidence in their weekend trip to Brentford.

More to follow.
