The Rolling Stones save Barcelona’s El Clásico headache

Real Madrid is standing in the Catalan capital in the weekend of 11 May opposite the men of Hansi Flick.

The delay when returning to the Spotify Camp Nou will be an increasing problem for FC Barcelona. The setback in the stadium re -development is the club financially and with the rent on their current Montjuic Home Set to end at the end of April, the location for the second El Clásico of the season was questioned.

There was speculation that the game (planned for the weekend of 11 May) in London or Paris with Joan Laporta could still have been optimistic that this 'Plan B' should not be activated with the club to convince the idea of Laliga or the Spanish football federation.

Both domestic administrative bodies (together with UEFA/FIFA) should give their approval before the competition could be moved abroad.

The stones come to the rescue

While the club tries to negotiate a Montjuic extension in May, the Catalan side received good news after it was confirmed that the Rolling Stones in Europe will not tour in Europe in May, as planned with the Stones concert date in Barcelona in the Estadi Olímpic Planned to collide with El Clásico against Real Madrid in the weekend of 11 May.

FC Barcelona is now trying to have the Bouwbedrijf Camp Nou redeveloped to work around in a desperate bid to prepare at the beginning of May for use and negotiation with the city council to extend the Montjuic home.
