Dana White issues surprising response to GFL drafting Tony Ferguson and several other ex-UFC stars 

The Global Fight League continues to cause controversy in the MMA world while they continue to sign ex-PUC stars that are beyond their best.

When the GFL announced that it would hold its inaugural event in April, the MMA world was enthusiastic about the prospect of a promotion that the UFC competes.

Nevertheless, the promotion was then received a lot of criticism after they started announcing the names of some of the signing sessions they made, where the majority were former UFC stars that are closer to 40 years old.

Things were then made worse when the GFL announced different signing sessions, but the hunters came out and revealed that they had not signed contracts with them.

A signature that they did, although Tony was Ferguson who was set up in the Los Angeles team schedule, despite his streak losing eight Vecht in the UFC.

'El Cucuy's UFC career took an unfortunate turn after his interim-title fight against Justin Gaethje in 2020. Since then, the 40-year-old has undergone the longest losing stripe in the history of promotion.

After his loss against Paddy Pimblett, UFC boss Dana White Ferguson begged to retire, as he did with Chris Weidman after his loss at UFC 310, another hunter who signed the GFL.

“I think these guys blow real money, I mean, these guys throw a lot of money around and I think it's great, good for the hunters, it's good for them,” said White last Thursday surprisingly at a Power Slap -Perspers Conference.

“I know nothing about their business plan or what the deal is, but no, I don't consider combat sports as my competition. My competition is the NFL, University Football, football, big films that come out on Saturday, I don't see other combat sports (promotions) as competitors, “he continued.

Tony Ferguson could make his debut against the former training partner of Conor McGregor

After being actually prepared in the Los Angeles team schedule, Ferguson will fight this season under the GFL -Banner.

Another hunter who was drawn up by the New York Team selection is former teammate of Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis.

The controversial figure has only fought in MMA twice and is 2-0 after victories under the Bellator Banner. Since then, the World Champion Grappler has fought against Logan Paul in the boxing ring and lost down after trying to bring 'the Maverick' down, which resulted in a disqualification.

GFL founder, Darren Owen, recently teased that they look at the potential matchups for the upcoming events, in which Ferguson vs Danis is emphasized as one that they want to put together.
