UFC CEO Dana White says that the promotion is prepared for all possible results in the negotiations of Jon Jones/Tom Aspinall.
Dana White and the UFC matchmakers are only busy with the new year for a few weeks. One of their highest priorities from this writing is trying to book one of the biggest fights in the history of the promotion between UFC Heavyweight title holders Jones and Tom Aspinall.
Jones and Aspinall seemed destined for an Octagon collision after the successful first heavyweight title defense of Jones against Stipe Miocic in November. Aspinall sat on the cage on UFC 309 while Jones applied a technical achievement against Miocic.
Despite the first hesitation in the opinion of Aspinall, Jones has since turned over that attitude and he has been in active negotiations with the UFC breach for at least one fight. In the structure to UFC 309, Jones continued retired after a legendary career in the Octagon.
Weeks later the state of Jones vs. Aspinall foggy, and White provided what the promotion is willing to do when the fight falls through the cracks.

Dana White admits that Stripping Jon Jones is a possibility in the midst of Tom Aspinall Talks
During a recent interview with Themaclife, White gave an update about the Jones vs. Aspinall Fight negotiations.
“There is no situation, it's the biggest fight we can make,” said White. “I know that the fans like to mess with Jon or whatever, Jon Jones is not afraid of someone and Jon Jones will fight against someone. It is just a matter of getting the fight now, that is our job. “
Despite the non -reversing trust of White, he acknowledged that the stripping of Jones van de Riem is a possibility if the Aspinall fight has not been completed in the coming months.
“100 percent,” White shared. “If we don't do the fight, we will continue and we fight another fight. But the night before I was in my room with my people until 6 o'clock in the morning, we are now working on many things. There is now a lot of really good s *** going on. “
White rejected rumors about a potential payment of $ 30 million in Jones, just a few weeks ago in an earlier update on negotiations. The rumors arose from Joe Rogan after the Podcaster and UFC commentator alleged murmur shared from what Jones asks for money.
White guaranteed Jones vs. Aspinall shortly after UFC 309 despite skeptics of imminent negotiations. Jones referred to negotiations that move in a positive direction in one of his few interviews since the Miocic fight.

This is not the first time that White and Jones have had testy negotiations during their UFC official period. In 2020, after Francis Ngannou Miocic defeated the heavyweight belt, Jones wanted 'Deontay Wilder Money' against Ngannou in the Octagon for his heavyweight debut.
After a short word war, White and Jones could not come to terms about the Ngannou fight, and Ngannou continued the promotion in 2023. Jones won the then belt by beating Ciryl Gane on UFC 285.
If Jones and White can't agree with a new contract, Aspinall will be confronted with another top candidate for the likely liberated belt. The interim title holder has waited almost two full years to get a linear title shot.
