MMA -COMEBACKS do not always go to plan.
Olympic wrestler Hamdy Abdelwahab returned from an almost two years of suspension to appear on the opening prelim of UFC Saudi Arabia-the Comeback card of Israel Adesanya-Alleen to walk away with a controversial result.
Abdelwahab debuted in the UFC in 2022 against heavyweight support pillar Donale Mayes. It was a booking on a short non-note for Abdelwahab, which showed promising striking and grab skills. He won the fight by decision, but the result was destroyed in the light of a failed drug test.
Now that a whole camp was to prepare for Jamal Pogues in UFC Saudi Aarabia, fans were carefully optimistic about the return of Abdelwahab and were not too satisfied with the outcome. Abdelwahab won a split decision, but fans immediately dispute the result.

A user thought it was 100 percent in favor of Pogues: “Pogues was absolutely robbed, which smoked cartlidge this morning, one round he scored for Pogues was one round he was 100% lost,” they wrote.

Hamdy Abdelwahab makes a Dicey decision about Jamal Pogues at UFC Saudi -Arabia
It takes two for Tango, and neither fighter looked very impressive in the night.
Abdelwahab looked promising in the first round and imposed his elite wrestling skills on Pogues. The Egyptian heavyweight showed excellent back-of skills, but could have been able to gasify itself by beating Pogues' guard. Amazing, Abdelwahab would not chase the rest of the fight.
Pogues worked on reach with a fresh puncture, which he occasionally exchanged for a fool. He landed as desired and pushed Abdelwahab's head back, but never really capitalized on the fundamental defects that Abdelwahab exhibited. The best moment of Pogues came when he pumped the puncture and threw a main kick on the same side, who landed Flush; Abdelwahab ate the stairs and continued to fold forward.
Eight of the 13 media members scored the fight for Pogues, and slightly less than a quarter of the fans scored the fight for Abdelwahab, according to MMA decisions.
