The knockout loss of Israel Adesanya at UFC Saudi Arabia broke the heart of his number one fan on social media.
The two -way middle weight champion was brutally stopped in the second round by Nassourdine Imavov on Saturday evening in Riyad, which marked his fourth loss in five fights. It was his second consecutive interruption and he is now considering his future in sport.
As one of MMA's biggest names, Adesanya has millions of followers on social media. But perhaps no one is better known for supporting him than YouTuber Kenny Okoye, who has made a name that responds to the fighting of his idol.
The number one fan of Israel Adesanya responds to the last defeat
While Israel Adesanya was eliminated on Saturday in the main event of UFC Saudi Aarabia, a number of social media accounts responded to the promotion. However, many fans wanted to see the reaction of a particularly large Adesanya fan; Kenny Okoye.
The University Athlete is known for its exaggerated reactions to Adesanya's victories and regularly defends his idol in heated online debates. Okoye is written under the X user name 'Truthfulufcfan' and has become something of a fire fire on social media.
He did not get the result he wanted at night because he was forced to see how his hero was eliminated in the second round. After initially questioning the interruption, he admitted the defeat and wrote in the caption: “This hurt several men. Yet the man goes upstairs, done a lot in this game @stylebender. “
“That kills me man,” he told the camera after viewing a repeat of the interruption. “That's bad, Bro. F ***, man, oh my God, you can't get too attached to sport, I say your guy, it's just not worth it, guy … he's really eliminated man. “
Israël Adesanya paid tribute to fan Kenny Okoye during the Vechtweek
The respect between Adesanya and Okoye seems to be mutual, as was revealed earlier this week during an interview in the fight week. The former middleweight champion was asked by CBS Sports if he had heard of his biggest fan, and noted that he really enjoyed his videos.

“I saw his reaction to my last fight and that was definitely one of those who made me a fan of him,” Adesanya explained. “Because he had been fully invested and I respect and I appreciate that, so yes shout that.”
Okoye was clearly happy with the shoutout and released a whole video that shouted what he had seen from the famous hunter.
