Diego Simeone took the time to think happily about his 500 Laliga matches responsible for Atletico Madrid after Saturday's victory over Mallorca.
Simeone, who took the lead in 2011 on Athleti, saw his team a solid display in his milestone match.
A first half goal of Samuel Lino was followed by a stop-time stunner from Antoine Griezmann to seal a 2-0 victory.
And Simeone took the chance to look back on his “trip” with the club.
“I am without a doubt very happy with this trip,” he said.
“Many people in the coaching staff who are no longer here have helped us to get to this point, many football players who shared an idea and represented it on the field, leaders who are no longer here and accompanied us. It makes me very happy.
'I will make a special part for my family. This would be impossible without their support and company. It has been many years since all love and responsibility was given to a club that I love a lot, but we take a lot of time away from the family. “

Simeone is the eighth coach who supervises 500 games in the history of Laliga, and the first to do this with a single club.
Atletico continued their impressive defensive record, after he had admitted 14 goals this season and to hold clean sheets in half of their 22 LaLala matches.
“The teams that ultimately fight for important things are those who admit the least goals,” said Simeone.
“Our goal is to maintain this firmness and to continue to grow in the attacking part. The team competes very well.
“We needed this victory, we came from a bad time and we had to win.
“These are games in which, with a 1-0 [lead]Every situation can lead to a draw. Fortunately it ended with a brilliant movement, a pleasure from Antoine to secure the victory. “
Griezmann's goal marked his first strike in Laliga in almost two months.
“It is impossible to keep saying no more positive things about Griezmann,” Simeone added.
“He keeps getting older and works in the same way as before and is powerful in the way he plays.
“We have to help him so that he doesn't wander from this line. People have become used to having him and always want to see his best version. We need the best Antoine to compete for the highest goals.”
Atleti's victory was succeeded by a shock destruction for Real Madrid in Espanyol, which means that there is only one point that separates the Capital Clubs prior to next week's derby.
