Rashford to have his Aston Villa medical TODAY as he closes in on Man Utd exit

Marcus Rashford will have a medical medical in Aston Villa on Sunday while he was completed from Manchester United after completing his loan movement.

The deal will be a first loan until the end of the season, but it will also contain an option for Villa to permanently sign Rashford for a pre -graduated fee, which is understood £ 40 million.

Rashford has already agreed personal conditions with Villa for the duration of the loan.

The 60 times England International currently earns around £ 350,000 a week in Old Trafford, where his contract only expires in June 2028.

It is understood that Villa will cover 70 percent of its wages, while the loan package will include bonuses for progressing Europe and for following the Champions League again next season.

Rashford has not played for United since mid -December when he came out with manager Bruno Amorim.

The 27-year-old has interrogated the last 12 games under Amorim's lifestyle and dedication.

Rashford has been in United since he was eight years old and has never played senior club football for another team.

However, he is expected to take out a switch to Villa Park before the deadline of the winter transfer of Monday.

Rashford – who has 138 United goals to his name after making 426 senior performances for the Old Trafford outfit – said goodbye to his teammates on Saturday.

The former Academy Starlet spoke with United Staff and players in Carrington after he had received the green light to prepare for his switch to Villa.

Villa's need for attacking reinforcements was fueled by Jhon Duran, who completed a relocation of £ 65 million to Al-Nassr earlier this week.

This season Duran was the most important scorer of Villa with 12 goals.

In the meantime, Ollie Watkins – who has won 11 goals this season – has an injury shock on Saturday evening and was weakened during the rest of the 2-0 defeat of Villa near Wolves.

Signing a player from Rashford's family tree will be seen by many as a large coup for Villa.

But ex-England midfielder Jamie Redknapp fears that Villa will take a risk by moving for a player whose last good season was the campaign 2022-23.

“If you look at it, we will go back until 2022-23, what a fantastic season was for him,” Redknapp said this week on Sky Sports.

'But if you look at the last two years and are in football for two years, it was not a case that he was injured. Some clips from him who walked around viral, I remember there was one against Luton when the ball was there and he was just jogging.

'You can't do that if you are a star player at Man United, you have to be the man who will lead from the front.

'You can talk about potential all day, but he is no longer a child. If this step happens for him, it will be incredible, perhaps more than what he earns now because Villa is a huge club.

'But it will be a chance to let his career go again, because that's what he has to do.

“Nobody else can do it, it's not up to Unai Emery, it's not up to Aston Villa, it's up to Marcus Rashford to bring himself back as a player.”
