Lewis Dunk did not bump when he hit a “embarrassing” version of Brighton in the heavy defeat of Saturday in Nottingham Forest.
Brighton was hammered 7-0 by high-flying forest on the city.
Chris Wood scored a hat trick, with Morgan Gibbs-White, Neco Williams and Jota Silva also on goal for the hosts.
However, it was an own goal of defender Dunk who started the route of the forest.
Dunk scored seven own goals in the Premier League, where only Richard Dunne (10) spent more occasions in the history of the competition. Since the start of their first Premier League campaign in 2017-18, Brighton has indeed scored more his own goals than any other side (19).
“Everything [went wrong]. It was embarrassing, “a furious Dunk told TNT Sports.
“We are abandoning. We let the traveling fans down. We have to take it on ourselves. We were there that performed that way. We have to look ourselves in the mirror and bounce back next week.
7-Nottingham Forest enjoyed their biggest more competitive victory since the beating of Chelsea 7-0 in the top flight in April 1991. In the meantime, this was the toughest defeat of Brighton since a loss of 9-0 on Middlesbrough on the opening day of the 1958 season -59 in the second layer. Sounding. pic.twitter.com/vizsswnkue

“I don't think we played with sufficient intensity or wanted it enough. If a whole team we didn't deserve it [anything]. It could have been even more.
“We knew that we were coming here for a tough competition. They fly in the competition and it is always a difficult place to come. That is difficult? Probably not. And that is on ourselves.
“We have to work hard now and ensure that we no longer leave ourselves or the fans like that.
“It does it on the training field. Hard work every day and want it every day. It starts on the training field. Three games ago we were again aware of the world we were not after two wins in a row? We are another low point . “
Brighton now has a double header against Chelsea to look forward to. They organize the blues in the FA Cup on Saturday, before they do this again in the Premier League on February 14.
