Carlo Ancelotti hit the “inexplicable decision” that Espanyol's final match winner Carlos Romero escaped a red card against Real Madrid.
Madrid saw a point of 31 consecutive Leaga road matches in which they had scored at least one goal, came to an end in a 1-0 reverse to Espanyol on Saturday.
Romero scored late to achieve a memorable victory for the degradation-Vechthosts, despite the fact that Madrid has 76% owned Hun Hun Hun Hun Hun in a road game since at least the 2005-06 season.
However, Romero might be lucky that he was on the field, since he was previously recorded from behind on Kylian Mbappe.
“It was an inexplicable decision, from the referee and the VAR,” said Ancelotti.
“Because we have all seen what happened. The most important thing is to view and protect the player.
“It was a clear mistake, a very ugly tackle. The VAR is also for us here. It seems inexplicable to us that no red card has been given.”

The defeat of Madrid, combined with Atletico Madrid who beat Mallorca, means that the lead of Los Blancos on the top of Laliga has been cut to just one point.
Next week the top two road will be in the Madrid derby.
“Espanyol played a very good game, defended very well and created good transitions. It was what they had to do,” said Ancelotti.
“We could have done better, but I don't think the game was as bad as the result says. It was [an] unmerited [defeat]But it can happen in football.
“We could have scored opportunities and had been able to score, but despite the defeat we are still in fight. We have to concentrate on the next game.”
