Inside Kevin Danso’s bizarre Tottenham transfer after star CANCELLED medical

Tottenham has announced the signing of Centrum-Back Kevin Danso from RC-Lens.

The 26-year-old joins Spurs for a first loan agreement, although the North Londoners have an obligation to make it permanent in the summer for around £ 21 million.

Danso joins goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky when moving to Tottenham this month, but was close to signing a rival for a Premier League.

He had a loan in Southampton while he moved to France with RC -Lens in the books of the German club.

Danso was mentioned in the Ligue 1-Team of the year before the 2022-23 season when his uncertain side only ended up one point behind champions Paris Saint-Germain.

'All you can do is say yes'

The defender has spoken about his joy to join Spurs and tells their club media: “It feels great to be here at the club, I have always wanted to play for a big club in the Premier League and Tottenham Hotspur is exactly that .

“I think that as soon as you hear that Tottenham Hotspur is interested, the only thing you can do is say yes (it is a) great project to be part of and I am happy to be here.

“I am a fast, powerful middle behind, good on the ball, good in an-v-one defending situations, that is what I do on and that is what I like to do, defend.

“I grew up playing Academy Football, everyone looked at the Premier League and it is a dream come true.”

Danso will not be able to play in the Prem Clash of this afternoon in Brentford.

But on condition that his work permit arrives on time, as expected that this will do, he was able to make his debut against Liverpool in Anfield in the huge Carabao Cup Semi-final second stage of Thursday evening.

Tottenham may not be ready in this month's transfer window.
