Arsenal ‘REJECT shock free transfer offer’ for senior star

Arsenal has rejected a surprise bid for midfielder Jorginho – while the Brazilian club Flamengo is trying to seduce him from the Premier League as their 'dream player for 2025'.

Jorginho, 33, is limited to only one Premier League start in 2025, but will continue to be an important senior figure for Mikel Arteta, who will start a penalty this week and score in the Gunners' Champions League victories in Girona.

The Brazilian newspaper Globo says that Flamengo believes that the finances of a deal to sign Jorginho will be 'not an obstacle' despite some distance between their first offer and his desire to earn £ 10 million for a three -year -old deal in the nation of his birth .

Arsenal has rejected the first approach to a free transfer for the attorney Midfielder, whose contract ends this summer, two years after his £ 12 million relocation of Chelsea.

But reports in Brazil say that Flamengo, who finished third in the series of the country last season and opposite Botafogo on Sunday in the Supercopa do Brasil, give up hope and try a 'last move' before the transfer window closes.

Jorginho's interest in the transfer is supposed to come from a desire to play in this summer's club of this summer, where Chelsea belongs to the opponents for Flamengo, who are managed by another ex-blues star in Filipe Luis.

He was still able to play in the tournament with a transfer at the end of his arsenal contract, but Flamengo prefers a deal that is now being closed – and the transfer window of Brazil remains open until 28 February.

Arsenal is supposed to have rejected the offer because Jorginho remains an important player – and Mikel Arteta fears that injuries can disrupt the balance of his team.

Jorginho is also interested in Palmeiras and other Brazilian clubs, as well as in Europe and the Middle East, but Flamengo is firmly at the front of the queue.
