Borussia Dortmund will continue the energy submitted by Mike Tullberg under the new coach Niko Kovac, has promised sports director Sebastian Kehl.
Tullberg took over as an interim head coach after Nuri Sahin was fired last month, amid a bad series of results that Dortmund saw in the lower half of the Bundesliga table.
After confirming that former Bayern Munich boss Kovac would take over from Sunday, Tullberg ended his enchantment in the Dugout with a 2-1 victory in Heidenheim on Saturday.
After that match spoken with reporters in the mixed zone, Kehl Tullberg and his staff thanked for changing the vote in the Westphalia Stadium.
“We have now picked up four points in the competition, although a week ago we were 70 minutes in the 2-2 draw in the 2-2 draw,” said Kehl.
“We deserved to win today, even if there were phases in the second half in which it was a bit restless. The goal for 2-1 was unnecessary. Nevertheless, the team turned a fight.
“The three points will do us a world of good. We are still in the mix. It is extremely tight in the table.
“The coaching staff has tried to be positive and the team to give energy. We have earned the results. A bit of the lightness also came back.
“But the path must remain the same and it will not change under Nico Kovac. We have to work hard on ourselves and earn the results. It's all still to play for.”

Serhou Guirassy and Maximilian Beier were on goal in Saturday's victory, with the first also scored twice on the 3-1 Champions League victory on Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.
He is the leading goal scorer in this season's Champions League alongside Robert Lewandowski (nine goals) and has beaten four consecutive Bundesliga matches.
Tullberg, who came to Dortmund for the first time in 2019 as the head coach of their reserve team before they coached their way under the 19th, seemed emotional at the last whistle on Saturday.
While Tullberg is preparing to return to that role, he said: “The club means a lot to me.
“You can also see that emotional outbreak in the limbs under 19, but not too many people look at that!
“It doesn't matter in what role, I am just happy that I can work at Borussia Dortmund.”
Dortmund is now 10th in the Bundesliga table with 29 points of 20 games, four drift of the top four.
