Manchester United has lost an important member of their back room staff after they have chosen to go to a role with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Besiktas.
Tom Green, 33, worked a senior performance analyst for the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
He joined the club in 2017 after he had previously worked in various analytical positions for Derby County and Burton Albion.
Speaking of Green and his role, a person told the athletics: 'He is considered a really good football analyst and Ole has that at Besiktas, someone who can produce and do the dirty work, create the pre-match analysis, the manager To a match and make sure that Ole has all the data on his iPad '.
'He will have to ensure that the coach has the game on his computer after the game, that all coaches have analysis clips before, live and post-match.
'In his role he would send individual clips to players before and after the matches that show their actions.
“He will be important for Ole and his staff – it is a brave, more daring move and he must be admired to do that with Man United after seven or eight years.”
In his role as an analyst at United, Green was sitting on the bench next to Senior Coaches during competitions during the Coronavirus Pandemie.
It is said that he is 'respected' at Old Trafford and believes that he has had a positive impact at the club, but it is not yet known whether Amorim will choose to replace him.
Reports claim that he will be a senior analyst as part of the back room team of Solskjaer in Besiktas, where the former United boss has been in charge since January.
The Noor has passed mixed fortunes in its last role-from which the Turkish side is not eligible for the play-off round of the Europa League after a 1-0 loss for FC Twente in their last group phase match.
He also has to taste the victory in the Super Lig, with two draw in two games against SamsunSpor and Antalyaspor.
Besiktas is currently seventh in the table – seven points behind a European qualifying place.
Solskjaer, 51, has joined the Turkish outfit for a deal from a year and a half until the summer of 2026 and, according to his term of office, earns € 3.6 million (£ 3 million), according to club president Serdal Adali.
During a signing ceremony, the Norwegian issued a passionate statement prior to working with Besiktas, stating that he will not regret the decision to join them before the day he dies.
“We had great meetings with our president. We have met heart to heart. The bonds we will establish in this team are very important, “he said.
'We will lay a new foundation here. This was something I really wanted. Our president hit my heart and the hearts of the technical staff. I followed the competitions and Beşiktaş while working at UEFA. I am proud to be such a club.
“I know what the fans want. We will work for this every day. I am only here to win. We have players who have the habit of winning. Beşiktaş is a team that deserves victories. I have always matched this in my play and coaching career and that is why I came here. '
“I would not be sorry to accept this before I die. What I said should not just remain words, I want to start as soon as possible. '
