Wolves and Leicester City are investigating a sensational swap deal that would bring Conor coady back to Molineux.
Craig Dawson would go the other way to join the wrestling foxes in a remarkable step between two of the Premier League degradation candidates. Discussions are at an early stage, but both men are supposed to be open to the move – if the two clubs can negotiate a deal and over the line before the end of the transfer of Monday.
Coady was the old captain of Wolves who led the club to Europe and finished back-to-back seventh place as the old lieutenant of Nuno Espirito Santo and earned himself a place in the English team that reached the final of the European Championships in 2021.
But former boss Bruno Low cut off the club captain during his enchantment in Molineux when he looked at a rear four, initially let him be added to Everton on loan before Coady completed a relocation of £ 7.5 million to Leicester at the start of last season. He was recommended for the then boss Enzo Maresca by Pep Guardiola.
He is not a fixed normal Foxes boss Ruud van Nistelrooy in a rear four in the King Power Stadium, while Wolves, under Vitor Pereira, have returned with playing with a back three and wingbacks. But Pereira is also enthusiastic for larger vocality on the field and sports director Matt Hobbs is supposed to have thrown the possibility of bringing back coady with Dawson – who fell in the pecking order under Pereira – who goes the other way.
