A former international in England has insisted that the loan movement of Marcus Rashford in Aston Villa is a 'great signing' for the club, but it is 'now or never' for the player.
The Product of Manchester United Academy completed his temporary transfer to Birmingham on Sunday evening after he was out of grace under manager Red Devils -Baas Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has not played for United since mid-December and has held a disappointing campaign and has been scoring only four Premier League goals since August.
Former England and Arsenal star Theo Walcott, however, urged that his move could be a success for Villa, who have an option to permanently sign the player for a pre-rejected reimbursement of around £ 40 million.
Walcott, sitting in the BBC match of the Day 2 Studio with Mark Chapman and Danny Murphy, said: 'He now has a very intense manager who will hopefully get the best out of him, and he is in an environment where he has a few England -Team has -mates too.
'This is now or never really for Marcus Rashford. But we want to see him enjoy his football again.
'It's a great signing for Villa, it just gives them that other option. They are also a team that plays with confidence, which will help him.
“He has to go back to fitness because he is not played for a while.”
RASHFORD – Who was eight years old since he was eight years old, had a total of 138 goals in 426 games for the Red Devils.
Despite a stunning campaign from 2022-23 separately, things went wrong in the past season, when United finished in 8th place, while the 27-year-old only had seven Premier League goals.
However, the last deal seems to suit both parties.
“It's a good move for him. The power of Unai Emery is the improvement of players and the improvement he has made with some of those villa players before he arrived there is incredible, “added the former Liverpool player Danny Murphy to the discussion.
“It's a great opportunity for him and I just hope he understands.”
On Monday, Rashford also welcomed the new signing of Villa, Marco Asensio, from Ligue 1 reigning champion Paris Saint-Germain.
Viilains Boss Unai Emery wanted to add more players to the attacking line after John Duran's departure to Al-Nassr for £ 65 million and the injury of Ollie Watkins on Saturday.
