Mikel Arteta gave his opinion about the feast of Myles Lewis-Skelly after his goal against Manchester City after the Arsenal Start has copied the celebration of Erling Haaland.
The 18-year-old persecuted his impressive turnout in the Emirates when he was chosen to start the match against the champions on Sunday, who had to win Arsenal to stay within six points of Liverpool.
Arteta's side did that in a devastating way, where the Gunners put five past their rivals to retain their hope to catch leaders Liverpool.
After Martin Odegaard scored the opener, Haaland set up things and went for William Saliba to enter the back of the net. However, the lead lasted only a few minutes, because Arsenal scored four more goals.
Among those goals were Lewis-Skelly, who just after the hour scored to bring the score to his side 3-1. After doing this, he lowered himself to the ground and performed the iconic celebration of Haaland.
Although the move has split the opinion, Arteta, who spoke prior to the semi-final Second Leg Tie with Newcastle on his part with Newcastle, gave his opinion about the case.
“Playing at home or gone is very, very different,” he said. 'We talk about those things and we must understand that every ground is different, their attitude, what they celebrate and what they do not do is really very different in the north of here in London.
“It is part of the context of the game.”
Lewis-Skelly is now in line for a promotion of England after his good form for Arsenal.
As Mail Sport revealed in January, the teenager caught the attention of English scouts after his breakthrough year at the Emirates.
And his rapid turnout will lead to Lewis-Skelly progressing through the English system when international football resumes in March.
Sources do not exclude a call for the young person in the first selection of Thomas Tuchel for next month against Albania and Latvia, in particular given the clear problems of the national team on the left.
If that fails, Lewis-Skelly will earn his first-call in the England under the age of 21 for his expected promotion in the senior set-up.
The next international break starts on the week of March 17 and will be the first of Tuchel since taking over Gareth Southgate and then Lee Carsley.
Lewis-Skelly's spot from Haaland came after the man City Frustrated Arsenal had a forward with a 'Stay Humble' Jibe when the two parties met earlier this year. He is also more than once clashes with defender Gabriel.
Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher revealed on Sky Sports that he thought that Lewis-Skelly should know somewhat that it is place when it comes to Haaland.
“I said about football arrogance on the field and I thought it was great,” Carragher said. ” 'I didn't like this because he is a young player who mimics Haaland and takes the Mick.
“I know what Haaland said, but he is a young player and we are all dragged along as young players. It's a huge moment for him. '
