Sean Strickland drops fan in open workout sparring ‘rematch’ ahead of UFC 312

Sean Strickland does his best to set up a show during the UFC 312 Fight Week.

The former middleweight champion will try to recover his belt when he accepts Dricus du Plessis in a Rematch more than a year after the South African defeated him by a split decision on UFC 297 in January 2024.

For their first fight, Sean Strickland invited a fan on stage to spar during his open training.

In anticipation of UFC 312, the same fan appeared for a rematch with Strickland – but it did not end well for him.

Fortunately, the crazy American did not burn all the guns as he did against Streamer Sneako.

Strickland taunted playfully his opponent while moving on stage for a cheering crowd.

The 33-year-old landed light pop shots while inviting the fan to take a number of large swings during their second spruce.

In the end, Strickland landed a perfect body shot that left his training partner on the floor on the floor.

Braven or Dom, he decided to get up and continue with the former UFC champion.

In the end, Strickland's head coach, Eric Nicksick, stepped in to separate the two unlikely rivals.

Sean Strickland denies Punching Fan

Strickland became UFC champion by Israel Adesanya in Sydney, Australia to be beat in September 2023.

He will try to win a second MMA world title in the same city when he remates Du Plessis this weekend.

Perhaps one of the most gemythologized stories about the Australian title Triumph van Strickland was his visit to Bondi Beach. Early in his journey he came across a fan and reportedly hit him when he went too far with his trolls.

The story goes that while visiting the famous beach with his girlfriend, a fan told Strickland: “Izzy goes to F – you up.” This led the confrontational challenger to hit him in the stomach, although no images of this ever emerged, nor any kind of victim's perspective.

Only a few days before UFC 312, Strickland finally unveiled the truth about the fan he supposedly beat down during his last trip.

“Let me tell you, I didn't beat,” he said. “It was a friendly, such as,” Hey Buddy, Hey Friend, “” When the host asked if it was closed, he answered: “No, there was no blow, it was really fun, it was more of a handshake with a 'Nice to meet you'.

“It was actually very nice, he was a really nice guy.” Strickland said, however, that he would offer a card if the fan identified himself, adding to it: “I would give him a ticket to the fight. I would connect him. “
