Mathys Tel has agreed SIX-YEAR Tottenham contract and WILL stay beyond Bayern Munich loan, reveals Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou stated that Mathys Tel will be a Tottenham player after the end of the season.

The French striker, 19, completed a deadline daily loan from Bayern Munich to Spurs, who have an option of £ 45 million to permanently sign him.

German reports had suggested that the player could still choose not to come to the North Londers in the summer, despite that option.

But Sunsport understands that count is happy to stay if Spurs caused it and a six -year contract has already been agreed.

Asked if he could clean up the confusion and whether count would remain in Tottenham after the current season, Bullish Postecoglou replied: “He will be a Tottenham player.

“I think he will show everyone that he will be a Tottenham player in the next six months. I didn't bring him here for six months. “

Tel has been made available to let his spurs debut in Liverpool trained tomorrow and received his work permit.

The same applies to the 26-year-old center-back Kevin Danso, signed on loan from RC Lens on Sunday, which will probably start the semi-final second stage of the Carabao Cup.

Tel had initially rejected a switch to Spurs when a straight £ 50 million deal was on the table.

But he had a change in heart on Monday, after he had had a convincing exchange “Pure about football” via Phonecall and on text for a few hours with Postecoglou.

The Aussie joked: 'I felt that if I kept him on the phone long enough, I would wear it. He fell asleep by the end!

“I got a feeling early on that there was a connection and he heard what he wanted to hear. It is a big decision.

“He is a 19-year-old man in a fantastic football club. They would have been very happy to keep him there, I know for sure, but he also knew he had to play.

'But not just play. Play where he will develop. I think it is an honor that instead of just jumping to what came to him, he was very thorough in the way he made his decision. “

Tel was interested in other clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, but was eventually convinced by Spurs.

Postecoglou said he was “100 percent”, certain count is happy to be at Spurs and sees the move as a coup for Spurs, which are in all cup matches, but 14th in the Premier League.

The ex-Celtic boss added: “He is very, very exciting.

“If you meet him, you realize that he has that little bit about him as a person who has enormous self -confidence and trust in what he can do and what he wants to do.

“Although he is young, he is physically already in a place where he can take on the enormous challenges to be an attacking player in the Bundesliga and I think he can handle the Premier League.

“He is a target scorer, he can take people with him, he has speed.

“I would be very surprised if there was a club that would not be interested in someone like him.”
