Lemina returns to Galatasaray in permanent transfer from Wolves

Mario Lemina has completed a return to Galatasaray from Wolves in a reported £ 2 million deal with a contract of one and a half years.

Lemina, who made 28 performances for Galatasaray during a loan saying in 2019-2020, brought the transition back to the Turkish Super Lig-lace, with the option to extend that deal by an extra year.

The 31-year-old is not visible to Wolves since their 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in January after a fall-out with manager Vitor Pereira.

Lemina lost the Wolves Captainincy in December after collision with Jarrod Bowen after the 2-1 defeat against West Ham, before Pereira Gary O'Neil replaced as head coach.

Pereira said last month that the midfielder would not play until the transfer window was closed, with Lemina initially refused to make itself available for selection.

On Wednesday, Galatasaray confirmed that they had entered into external negotiations with both Lemina and Wolves before they announced the deal later in the day.

Lemina played 77 times in all competitions for Wolves and played more times for the Premier League side than all others of the seven games for which he has become.

The Turkish winter transfer window remains open until 11 February, with Lemina signing the third signing of Galatasaray in the halfway through the season.

The side of Okan Buruk welcomed AC Milan striker Alvaro Morata on loan until the end of the 2024-25 campaign, as well as Eyupspor striker Ahmed Kutucu on a permanent deal.

“Everyone knows that I love this club. I am very happy to be back at this great club,” said Lemina. “This is an ambitious club that wants to win in all areas, such as the Champions League and the Europa League. It always wants to win the title. I am really happy to be back. When I received the first offer, I was very enthusiastic.

“I wanted to play for this comb and this team. It is a pleasure to be back. Our fans know me. I will give everything for the team and the fans. I hope we can achieve all the success that we can achieve together In this great club “
