Dana White Fields Questions about Khamzat Chimaev
Du Plessis and Strickland traded insults on Thursday at a wild UFC 312 pre-Fight press conference.
During the event, the UFC boss was asked two important questions about Khamzat Chimaev. First, will he be present this weekend in the Qudos Bank Arena? And second, will he be confronted with the winner of the UFC 312 Headliner?
“I don't know he is here,” White replied.
“As far as I know, he will not be at the event, no.”
He added: “And of course he is in line [for a title shot]. ”
UFC fans are pleased to get a confirmation that Chimaev will finally get a chance on a world title in 2025.
Nassourdine Imavov will be one of the few people who are disappointed to hear the news about 'Borz'.
After he had eliminated Israel Adseanya last weekend, Imavov hoped that he could encounter the UFC 312 winner.
Can Khamzat Chimaev fight in the US?
White recently moved to destroy rumors that Chimaev was unable to fight in the United States.
Chimaev has a long -term relationship with the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, currently sanctioned by the United States for human rights violations.
Over the years, the 14-0 star has difficulty reaching a visa to fight in the US, but it says that this will not be a problem after the recent move from Chimaev to the United Arab Emirates.
“Do not listen to those bulls,” the MMA Mogul responded to a question about Chimaev who has difficulty entering the US after UFC Saudi Arabia. “He comes to the United States. I am confident that we can get him to the country. “
