Sean Strickland raised eyebrows during the UFC 312 Fight week by claiming that Alex Pereira is contempt for Dricus du Plessis.
While Sean Strickland is winning the middle weight belt this weekend at UFC 312, he has a well -known name in his corner as he did for his first fight with Dricus du Plessis. But according to Strickland, his high -profile corner man is not only motivated to help him reclaim the throne of the middleweight.
Strickland vs. Du Plessis 2 heads this Saturday a stacked map on UFC 312 in Sydney. After Du Plessis defeated Strickland in their first fight on UFC 297, Strickland defeated Paulo Costa at UFC 302 to make a strong case for a rematch.
Strickland will have a former opponent, and one of the biggest stars of the UFC, in his corner for UFC 312. UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira, who has previously eliminated Strickland in their career, is in Sydney to advise Strickland for the Rematch from du plessis.
Earlier this week, Strickland claimed that Pereira du Pessis hated, and that it is an important reason why he will be in the corner for UFC 312. Pereira hinted in a middleweight return to du plessis after the middleweight title holder had defeated his fourfold. Rival, Israel Adesanya, on UFC 305.
Du Plessis is perplexed by the idea that Pereira hates him.

In a recent interview with Agfight, Du Plessis responded to Strickland's comments.
'[Pereira] Was also in the corner (from Strickland) in the last fight. And that makes no difference to me. And the same applies to this. I don't think he hates me, “said Du Plessis. 'If he does that, I don't know why. Sometimes you see a person and you just don't like them, maybe it's (laughs). Maybe he doesn't love my face or my attitude, I don't know. But I don't think he hates me. But if he does that, I have no idea (why).
“We have never spoken. I asked him for a photo, I think, once. I consider Alex an incredible hunter, one of the largest ever the planet Earth, one of the greatest combat athletes in history. But if he hates me, I don't care. I already have enough friends. (H/t Agfight)
At the moment Pereira has not responded to the claims of Strickland nor extensive about his attitude towards Du Plessis.

Du Plessis revealed that challenging for Pereira's light heavyweight title is one of his short -term goals, and he could possibly rise by the end of the year. However, a victory over Strickland would probably set him up for a collision with the unbeaten Khamzat Chimaev after UFC 312.
Pereira will be confronted with Magomed Ankalaev in the UFC 313 Main Event in Las Vegas next month for his next light heavyweight title defense. He returns after completing Khalil Rountree Jr. on UFC 307 last October.
Depending on the results of their next fighting, Du Plessis and Pereira may be on a collision course. For now, the nature of Pereira's alleged hatred against Du Plessis is uncertain, but he will lead to a victory this weekend.
