Ruben Amorim explained that he couldn't get Marcus Rashford “to see football as you hear”.
Rashford left Manchester United in the winter transfer window after he was out of favor of Amorim, who took the lead in November.
The International of England has been on loan for the rest of the season, with a view to making the move permanent.
Rashford scored the opening goal of Amorim's term of office in United, in a 1-1 draw in the city of Ipswich, although the Red Devil's boss simply could not see with the 27-year-old.
'I couldn't do it [get] Marcus to see how to play football and train as I see it, “said Amorim.
“It is something that you feel as a coach and as a player. It is very normal. It happened with many coaches.
“The most important thing is that I say here that was my decision.”
Amorim, however, hopes that Rashford will click on Unai Emery at Villa.
“Sometimes you have one player who is really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different,” added the former sporty CP boss.
“I just wish to make Rashford and Emery, and they can connect because he is a very good player.”
Rashford has scored seven goals this season in all competitions and surpasses better than his 4.45 expected goals.
He has on average on average every 214 minutes.
