Pep Guardiola said that Manchester City expects to learn the outcome of the hearing in their 115 charges of the alleged Premier League Financial Rule breaches “in a month”.
According to the Premier League rules, each punishment can be a point deduction or even the threat of removal of the division.
In his press conference on Friday, Guardiola rejected suggestions that the January expenditure of the club was a preventive attack against a possible future transfer borgo.
City made their first serious movements in a winter transfer window since they signed Aymeric Laporte in 2018, while they splash £ 170 million on Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vior Reis and Nico Gonzalez before Monday's deadline.
Guardiola believes that the actions of the city are wrongly assessed because of the wealth of their owners and their expenses still do not match those of others.
He said: “I don't agree, but my words will not convince people that our attributes are [not] Just be in a rich position.
“In the past five years we have been the last team in the top six for Net-Spend. Even after what we have spent in this transfer window, we love Chelsea, [Manchester] United, Arsenal, Tottenham, even from Liverpool.
“The reason why have we sold a lot in recent seasons, but even with that I know it [what people say about] This club, it is always 'just about the money'.
“Respect the other, but in a month I think there will be a judgment and a sentence and after we will see my opinion about what has happened so far. Yet every club can do what they want.”
In February 2023, the Premier League City accused of violating more than 100 of his financial rules with the alleged infringements that cover the period between 2009 and 2018. Manchester City denied all charges.
The hearing took place for an independent committee for 12 weeks between September and December.
A decision is expected in the spring, probably around March and both parties have the right of appeal, which would take a few months.
