The middleweight champion of the UFC has been unbeaten since 2018 and has won eight consecutive UFC fights.
Dricus Du Plessis returns this weekend to UFC 312 to head his third consecutive PPV card since he signed with the MMA leader four years ago.
'Still Knocks' arrived in the promotion in 2020 and began to make noise by merge a series of victories and finishes, which eventually led him to the middleweight title.
The South African was underestimated by many fans because of his somewhat uncomfortable versions in the Octagon, but his victories over former champion Robert Whittaker, title winning display against Sean Strickland and the victory of submission to Israel Adesanya has changed the way he is observed .
Du Plessis is now ready to participate in the second rematch of his career when he is facing Strickland in a rematch of UFC 297 on 8 February in the Qdos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia on Saturday evening.
Roberto Soldic predicts Dricus du Plessis to beat Sean Strickland on UFC 312
The only man other than Sean Strickland to share the cage more than once with Dricus du Plessis, is his former KSW -Rival Roberto Soldic who is the last man who beats 'Still Knocks'.
Now competing in one championship, 'Robocop' recently dismissed his thoughts about the 185-pound Rematch that will lead the return of the UFC below.
“He is in my fighting as from that time, he was even dangerous in 170,” Soldic told Bloody Elbow in an exclusive interview. “Now he is much bigger, much stronger, he is an elite hunter … everyone has his way, I went this side, he went that other side and I see that he can again defeat Strickland. I don't know why I believe .
“He is also young and he is in really good condition. I know that he is really, very strong guy and I can see that he can win again because he doesn't look so good, but he is effective and he is powerful, unpredictable skills. It is difficult to find a sparring partner as he can, he can do anything. '
In 2018, Solidic and Du Plessis met in back-to-back fights for the Welterweight title of the Polish promotion with the Croatian who are a loss of interruption for 'Still Knocks' in their Rematch, and became the only hunter who has the current UFC champion with Strikes stopped.
Soldic, who also has a fight with his long -awaited return that takes place on a 171 on 20 February in Qatar, is impressed by how his former enemy performed on the world stage.
“He, how to say, he kills everyone in the UFC, so yes, I see him win on Saturday night, I see that he defends the title.”

Dricus Du Plessis can further strengthen his status as a middleweight champion at UFC 312
Dricus Du Plessis is such an effective fighting finisher that it leaves no room for debate when they think about many of his victories.
Even if the fight does not completely go its way, as was the case in his recent title defense against Israel Adesanya, the champion tends to get the last word.
This was not the story of his first meeting with Sean Strickland on UFC 297, where the fight came down on a split decision judgment in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
His challenger is still convinced that he should have gotten his hand that evening, but Du Plessis can now look to end that debate once and for all on 8 February.
