Carlo Ancelotti reportedly shook his real Madrid stars in their senses with a powerful half-time warning in their derby trek against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
The Laliga leaders entered the dressing room 1-0 after the punishment of Julian Alvarez, but went off in five minutes after the restart thanks to Kylian Mbappe.
Eventually the game ended 1-1 and it was a crucial point for Los Blancos because it told them for Atletico. Ancelotti's side are at the forefront of 50 points, but the men of Diego Simeone are hot on their coattails with 49.
The comeback gave his side a shot of confidence in their comeback skills prior to the journey from Tuesday evening to Manchester City in the play-offs of the Champions League Knock-out.
In a fiery first half, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are said to 'wage war' against each other and often appear in the same room against Atletico.
But according to Marca, Ancelotti threatened to replace his stars, unless they changed rapidly the course of the game.
The Spaniard warned Vinicius to stop drifting in the middle of the field from his position on the left flank.
Mbappe and Bellingham all occupied that territory, where the Frenchman led the line and the Englishman casted in the supporting role.
Marca reports how the players responded quickly to Ancelotti's advice to get them level.
Midfielder Federic Valverde is said to have “worn as Superman” with his diligent efforts in the middle of the park against a hard-working Atletico duo by Rodrigo de Paul and Pablo Barrios.
Despite saving a point, it is a concern for Madrid that their most important attacking lights in the first half were in conflict and were unable to work effectively as a team.
“I think we have earned more. It was a very good game in the second half, “said Ancelotti.
“The first half was completely different. Slower. We came out with good feelings, especially in the second half. The team has influenced the criminal situation. We played too slowly.
'In the second half we benefited from the width of the field. Vini [Vinicius Junior] and Rodry [Rodrygo] Created a lot of danger from outside.
“It was a narrow, competitive match. Like I said, we came from the game with a draw but encouraged. The team was good in the second half.
Real Face City on Tuesday and will welcome them to the Santiag Bernabeu on Wednesday 19 February.
It is a repeat of their quarter -final collision from last season, with Madrid City dumping on the Etihad on penalties.
Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic both saw their spot kicks saved by Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin on that night.
Former Chelsea -Man Antonio Rudiger hit his decisive fine past Edererson to close the deal.
City had demonstrably dominated the draw, but Madrid were the ones who made up and their 15th Champions League title with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the final.
