Former UFC -Superster Nate Diaz attacked Dustin Poirier for refusing to fight Paddy Pimblett for his imminent pension competition.
Former interim UFC Lightweight Champion Dustin Poirier is weeks away from what will probably be his last performance in the Octagon. Although a date, location and opponent are not set from this letter, Poirier is planning to fight on another large platform before he hangs the gloves.
After he had fallen on UFC light weight champion Islam Makhachev on UFC 302 in June in UFC Makhachev, Poirier admitted that he was 'probably' at the end of his career. Poirier seemed satisfied with mentioning a career before they had second thoughts about a final memory made in the cage.
Poirier's superstar will set him up for a big fight with a different top name before he retires. Former UFC Lightweight Title Foe Charles Oliveira is a potential option for Poirier after Oliveira won their first fight on UFC 269.
Justin Gaethje is another opportunity to complete his trilogy with Poirier before the two fan favorites go their own way. Gaethje cut Poirier with a main kick for the then vacant BMF belt on UFC 291.
With Gaethje booked for UFC 313, another proposed option is Paddy Pimblett, which King Green defeated on UFC 304 in his last fight. But Poirier quickly concluded the opportunity to face Pimblett and said that his last fight would be a 'only' showcase.
After seeing Poirier's comments, Nate Diaz shot his one -off opponent in a post on social media.

Nate Diaz Jabs 'P —' Dustin Poirier after rejecting Paddy Pimblett
Diaz focused on Poirier in a recent message about his Instagram story.
“Vecht Paddy P —, he is better than you,” Diaz posted on his Instagram story.
This is far from the first time that Diaz and Poirier have risen hooks, because they were originally planned to meet each other in the Octagon on UFC 230 before Poirier withdrew due to a hip injury. Diaz remains on Poirier's Radar for a possible fight, even though Diaz says goodbye to the UFC in 2022.
Diaz split from the UFC after a victory of the main event at Tony Ferguson at UFC 279. He was originally supposed to experience Khamzat Chimaev before a failed weight -bound Chimaev from the main event.
Nate Diaz does not exclude UFC returns
Since his UFC release, Diaz has fought twice in the boxing ring, false to Jake Paul in his debut and last year former BMF -Vijand Jorge Masvidal defeated. At present, a timeline for the return of Diaz's Combat Sports is uncertain, but he has long plagued a potential return to the UFC.
Poirier has not yet responded to Diaz, but could do that quickly. Before he lost to Makhachev last year, Poirier returned to the winning column by completing Benoit Saint-Denis on UFC 299 last March.
Although Pimblett is a favorite of the UFC, a confrontation with Poirier will probably not happen before the pension fight of the latter. As far as Diaz is concerned, he keeps portering after their UFC 230 showdown did not flourish.
