Mikel Arteta has had a serious problem when it comes to his team after a fresh injury.
With Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka already sidelined, the Gunners -Baas has had an important setback. German attacker – and the top scorer of the North London club for the campaign – Kai Havertz can also be excluded.
The former Chelsea attacker picked up a hamstring injury during a training camp for hot weather. As it looks now, no further information has been released about the problem, but it could possibly come to him for this weekend's trip to Leicester.
And that would make Arteta think about doing when it comes to compiling an attack. Here are a few options that he might consider:
There is no perishing, Raheem Sterling's loan spell in North Londs has been a disaster so far. The Chelsea wing player has only made nine Premier League performances and has only a lonely assist by his name.
But he can be given the task of becoming Arsenal's starter if the rest of the current options of Arteta remains offside. There is no doubt that Sterling is a talented goal scorer, given his amazing record with the former Club Manchester City.
The majority of those goals, however, came to the wing, with Sterling only responsible for leading the line in rare cases. It would be a daring call from Arteta, but maybe a phone call in which he is forced.
Another Wideman that can be moved centrally is the Belgian winger Leandro Trossard. And he played the role for the Gunners a few times.
Trossard has played centrally in a large number of games, but would probably be more a false nine instead of an out-and-out striker. But his lack of target threat could possibly count against him.
Trossard has scored only five goals this period in all competitions, which after he had reached the back of the net 16 times last season. Since Gabriel Martinelli could be excluded, Arteta can prefer the former Brighton man on the wing.
On the subject of Martinelli, Arteta will certainly hope that he is fit enough to return if Havertz is not. The Brazilian attacker took a hamstring problem against Newcastle and has undergone further tests.
Arteta said, “Yes, he [Martinelli] felt something. I think it was his hamstring and he was not comfortable to continue, so we have to do an MRI scan tomorrow to see the extent of the injury. “
A bit like his teammates, Martinelli just found it as much as he should have done, with only seven goals in his name this period. But there is no doubt that he can certainly end up, as he has shown during the majority of his arsenal career.
In what would be a somewhat surprising movement, Arteta could potentially mutter this season for one of the breakout stars of the Gunners – Ethan Nwaneri. Of course, the 17-year-old has already shown an attacking midfielder his eye for the goal this period.
The young person has seven goals to his name about what a striking campaign has been, while he scored two of those who scored in his last three Premier League performances. In the meantime, Nwaneri is also a threat to the U19s of England this season with four goals in just six games.
It could possibly be too early to give the responsibility that he is the forward of Arsenal, but he certainly has the threat to have it work.
If Arteta wants a more natural striker to lead the border in the coming weeks, he might consider immersing the youth of Arsenal. And there are a few talented attackers in their team under 23.
Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and Khayon Edwards have 15 goals between them this term that led the border. The first has already made his Arsenal debut after he has already made a Champions League camera this season.
Whether the couple is ready for more action from the first team is still to be seen, but they are certainly in the thinking of Arteta.
