Sir Rod Stewart stole the show in Celtic Park for the Scottish Giant's Champions League collision with Bayern Munich last night.
Tonight was the night before the legendary singer when he announced that he felt cheerful during interviews for the game with both CBS Sports and TNT Sports.
The Celtic Superfan, 80, was first interviewed by CBS 'Peter Schmeichel Pitchide, although it did not go entirely how the ex-goalis might have expected.
During the interview, Stewart told the stadium broadcaster to “silence” before he admitted: “I had a few [of drinks]. “
The confession saw the entire CBS panel from Kate Abdo, now Scott, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry Barrst in the studio.
Carragher then asked if he could come a few with him and Celtic would make it, to which Stewart replied: “Of course you can fly everywhere everywhere.”
For a moment, Stewart seemed to go back to austerity while explaining how Celtic could endure if they didn't make “cock ups”.
Stewart realized a moment later and then asked: “Did I say Cock Ups?” This led to more laughter from the CBS panel, while Stewart giggled against herself.
While he went on and some traveling fans started singing, Stewart said, “Oi keep your mouth shut, I talk.”
After he had explained his crush on Celtic, Stewart was asked if he knew who was “big Meeks”, to which he answered: “Big knees, no never heard of him.”
Richards gently corrected Stewart before the singer admitted that he knew him, but only said: “Micah Thing”.
Stewart burst into a small dance to show that he still has hot legs after a prompt from Carragher before he said he was being interviewed by Gordon Banks and admitted that he was just joking when he started laughing.
He then said, “You better get me out of the blue now, I'm ashamed of myself.”
Before he went, Carragher and Stewart performed a duet from Maggie May, while Stewart's son, Alastair, also seemed to complete the father-son Duo.
Stewart felt young forever with the interviews he gave when TNT caught up with him.
He started saying: “I had a few drinks as you can probably tell, Wahey.”
Stewart showed his passion and explained how Celtic was the rhythm of his heart when the club was in his blood.
With all its reasons to believe that Celtic could get home with a victory, Stewart then burst into a dance for the crowd when his TNT interview ended.
However, it seems in the first instance that he had taken the microphone, the presenter said, “He took the microphone” before he handed him to a producer in the background.
But in the game itself the first cut was the deepest when Michael Olise scored a Screamer in the peace to make the visitors move forward.
Harry Kane then scored a few minutes in the second half before Daizzen Maeda managed to get one back, which means that the Bhoys will try a 2-1 deficit in Munich next week to turn for the second stage.
