LIV star admits he would ‘get in trouble’ if he speaks on Oliver’s decision

A Liverpool star admitted that he would “get into trouble” if he spoke about Michael Oliver's controversial decision during the Merseyside Derby against Everton in Goodison Park.

The 2-2 draw on Wednesday saw four red cards shown after the last whistle after a massive fight between the two teams started by Curtis Jones and Abdoulaye Doucoure, who were both dismissed by the referee.

Arne Slot and his assistant Sipke Hulshoff were also sent for their share in the confrontation after the Dutchman had seen an angry confrontation with Oliver.

After the end of the game, the Liverpool manager approached the official of the game, varying words and gave an indignant handshake, which led to his red card.

After a heated atmosphere on Everton's famous land, the Reds immediately chose Conor Bradley to remain silent about the referee of the match and said he would put myself in trouble if he spoke with Oliver.

“I felt that I had to be careful, especially getting the yellow card,” he said.

'I don't think I deserved a yellow card, but I don't think we should talk about the referee, I will probably put myself in trouble.

“I was clearly disappointed to get the yellow card and just had to be good from that and make sure that I was not sent.”

Bradley was booked during the extra time of the first half, just a minute before another Everton player, Abdoulaye Doucoure, received his first yellow card.

The fight started after James Tarkowski scored a stop-time equalizer to give his team an point against their city rivals.

Moreover, after the last whistle, Doucoure was seen for the fans of the road, which led Curtin Jones confronted him before Stewards and the police separated both sets of players.

Prior to the goal of Tarkowski, Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite and Carlos Alcaraz, however, heads and referee Michael Oliver stopped the match for two minutes at 93:43 to enable the players to get their medical treatment.

When he interviewed if the Everton interruption gave an advantage, Bradley said: “Yes, it did. I don't even think they should have got the ball afterwards, but that gave them another chance.

'The referee continues to play and play and of course there will be that opportunity.

'They probably shouldn't have had that chance, but it is just disappointing on our side to have the victory there and not being able to get it.

“But as I said, we have to go back on Sunday and hopefully get three points.”

After his red card, Slot will miss the match against Wolves on Sunday, whereby assistant coach of the first team of John Heitinga will probably take over.

However, it seems that the Premier League intriges is back after the Reds lost two crucial points in Goodison Park, where Arsenal Set to reduce the gap between the teams in the table.

Liverpool is currently confidently in the first place with 57 points.

“Of course it's a good position,” said Bradley.

'We just have to continue, continue to work hard every day and keep improving. We just have to continue to pick up the three points wherever we can.

“We know that there are still many games to go and (we have to) just keep our heads down and continue.”
