Amorim appears to agree with Paul Scholes as Man Utd ‘eye two mega transfers’

Manchester United and Ruben Amorim are reportedly interested in two top half of the top class, as club legend Paul Scholes suggested that they should be.

Despite the arrival of Amorim and the expulsion of Erik ten Hag, who promises so much, the change of the guard has produced very little so far. The Portuguese boss has won only four of his first 13 Premier League matches, and the Red Devils are in the 13th – far away from what is expected of them.

Scholes, whose entire career was played with United, has had all his say and claims that two new central defenders of world class, among other things, have to be invested. And it seems that the club and Amorim reflect such thoughts.

“There are a few things that are worrying,” Scholes told the debate about overlapping fan, who touched his former club. “There are many things that he (Amorim) has to do, we all know, especially in transfers, but I don't see any core of players.

“If you look at teams, you look straight along the back of a team. Liverpool: great keeper, great center of center, ahead, midfielders, whatever. I don't think United has that in a position. I think a new goalkeeper is necessary, possibly two center halves, two center-Middenveld players and two Center-Forwards.

“Okay, I go forward for a midfielder and one center, but with a little shape, a little quality, and really create a spine. If you have that spine good, you can add bits to it.”

According to The Sun, Dean Huijsen from AFC Bournemouth, a revelation for the high -flying cherries, will be on the Radar of United when the summer window rolls around. German Outlet Bild also reports that RB Leipzig's Young French Center-Back, Castello Lukeba, another is in whom the Red Devil has shown interest.

The 19-year-old Spaniard of Bournemouth is generally considered one of the most wonderful young defensive talents of the Premier League, and many clubs sniff around. Such a widespread interest rate can be inspired by the alleged £ 55 million release clause from Huijsen that will be activated in July.

Lukeba is another with a release clause, which is slightly higher on a reported £ 75 million. The rumor is that the 22-year-old, who only came to Leipzig from Lyon in 2023, is preparing for a mega deal this summer, and as Scholes has desired, United could be the ones to make it happen.
