Saka ‘set to miss another eight weeks of action’ on schedule in his recovery

Bukayo Saka is 'Set to Mess another eight weeks of action' for Arsenal while he continues his recovery of a serious hamstring injury.

Saka, 23, rose the injury on December 21 during Arsenal's 5-1 thrashing from Crystal Palace in Selhurst Park.

He then underwent surgery on December 29, where the recovery period was estimated between 10 and 12 weeks.

It is not said of the English winger that he has suffered setbacks and is on schedule to return within the above period of time when the injury took place.

The Sun reported that 'another eight weeks' could miss, which would bring him in line for a return to action in mid -April.

Given that he had surgery in the last days of December, Saka was able to return to action at the end of March.

But because of the serious nature of his hamstring, a precise return date for the most important man of the Gunners is not yet known.

He was able to return to light training during the club's trip to Dubai.

The attacker traveled with his teammates to their winter training camp in Dubai prior to this weekend to Leicester, where he accelerated his schedule prior to his expected return.

The news comes in the midst of a series of other injuries for Mikel Arteta – with the Spaniard who is currently also missing Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli in an important point in the season.

Havertz, 25, is the most recent victim on the list and has sustained its own hamstring injury in Dubai.

The German suffered from the blow as part of an urgent exercise and follows Arsenal's decision to opt for reinforcements in the January transfer window.

Arteta was without Jesus for the rest of the season after he sustained a serious injury in the FA Cup against Manchester United in January.

In the meantime, the fellow Brazilian Martinelli of Jesus was able to miss a month after the injured in the second stage of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle United.

Saka and Jesus who sidays off for long periods left the North Londers open to bringing in an attacker in January, but their approach for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins was rejected.

It was also said of Arsenal that it keeps an eye on the availability of Mathys Tel, but the Frenchman chose to add Tottenham to Bayern Munich to the end of the season to their arch rivals.

Although they have been destroyed in recent weeks by attacking players, the Gunners got a boost in their title offer when Liverpool allowed a stop time equalizer on Everton on Thursday evening.

Although that has extended Liverpool's lead at the top of the table to seven points, the men of Arteta can reduce that number to four if they beat Leicester City on Saturday.
