Chelsea enquired about Barcelona midfielder in the January transfer window

Barcelona rejects the interest in people like Eric Garcia and could not convince Ansu Fati to accept a loan movement, so that this year is a calm transfer window – unlike previous years. Although they were the two names mentioned, they were not the only players who were interested.

Andreas Christensen reportedly went over the radar of Brentford before another injury boomed that idea, while AC Milan also hit Ferran Torres before moving to Joao Felix. His parent club also had their own interest in a Barcelona player during the January transfer star.

According to Ser Catalunya (via MD), Chelsea also inquired about the interest and availability of Marc Casado. The 21-year-old midfielder was almost sold last summer, when Chelsea then attracted interest and Barcelona drops an offer from Saudi Arabia. However, after Hansi Flick took over, Barcelona extended his contract until 2028 and Film made him a member of the first team.

This year has been a Breakout season for Casado, who made the place at the foot of the midfield next to Pedri after the injury of Marc Bernal's own season. However, he is desperate to triumph in Barcelona and refused the importance of Chelsea as a result. His current release clause is € 100 million, but unless someone can convince Casado to leave, every hope of a deal seems unlikely.
