David Moyes admits he ‘feels a bit for’ Arne Slot after the Liverpool boss was sent off at the end of Merseyside derby

Everton -Baas David Moyes has sympathy for Liverpool -opposed to Arne Slot after his red card at the end of the last Merseyside Derby on Wednesday evening in Goodison Park.

Slot is confronted with a possible touchline ban after he was sent by referee after the full-time whistle, after he has just seen James Tarkowski scoring an injury time equalizer to earn a 2-2 draw.

The goal, which survived a VAR check was added by the civil servant in the eighth minute of five.

Moyes said: 'I feel a bit for Arne Slot because this is the thing when I was a younger manager, I was always involved in heated things.

“It shows that he cares about his club and he fights for his players.”

There was more late drama when Everton -midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones of Liverpool were also sent for a fight that caused a massive fight.

Jones took an exception to Doucoure who fourth for the visiting supporters.

Moyes said about his midfielder: 'He is doing well, I said after the game and I remained the same, I was disappointed that he had sent himself away. The club will look at his situation here while we continue.

'It still does not mean that people can abuse you and if they have it, it is completely wrong.

“It was an emotional night, we played against a really good Liverpool team. We had to do a good job as well as possible to get a result.

“We just got there.”

Moyes confirmed that striker Iliman Ndiaye from Saturday night to Crystal Palace is with a knee injury, but there is no time schedule yet.
